BESAC Mesoscale Materials and Chemistry
Town Hall Meeting
Chicago Midwest

Please join us for the Chicago Midwest Meso Town Hall on Monday May 14,10:00 AM – 1:30 PM at the O’Hare Hilton, Room 2025.

Hosted by John Sarrao, George Crabtree and John Hemminger, this meeting seeks input from Midwest scientists on two areas:

  • Research opportunities in new mesoscale phenomena and functionality, and
  • Facilities, instruments and tools needed to synthesize, characterize, and describe mesoscale materials, phenomena, and functionality.

Your input will help shape future research directions in the Basic Energy Sciences that will be described in a report issued in Summer, 2012.

You may contribute to the Mesoscale Science report through oral comments at the Town Hall Meeting, or through written input at the Public Input page of this website.

The preferred format for your input is the Priority Research Direction Quad Chart, which can be found and uploaded on this website. If you upload a Priority Research Direction Quad Chart prior to the Town Hall Meeting, it can be projected there to illustrate your oral comments (see instructions for uploading, How to Submit Your Input, at the bottom of this webpage).

Additional background information and community input can be found elsewhere on this website.

We hope to see you there.
